About Us..

Allina Health Midwifery practice provides outstanding women's health care throughout the life spectrum. Our Midwives offer a focused commitment to the midwifery philosophy and women's health. Our midwives and staff want to provide comprehensive, unbiased care to all women and their families.

Our midwives work in a truly collaborate model of care. We have complete support from our physician colleagues we work with and with Allina Health. Our philosophy is to provide unbiased, evidence based, culturally competent and patient centered care for all women, regardless of socioeconomic status, religious, cultural or sexual orientation. Health care is a trans formative process in learning about your body, emotional and spiritual health, choice in health care and how to be an active participant rather than just a number.

Kathrine Simon, CNM MS, president and owner, is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Nursing, Masters of Science, and is certified by the American College of Nurse Midwives. Kathrine has a life long passion for nursing and midwifery and is driven to offer her patients personal care. "I feel so empowered to witness the birth of a family and to be the guardian of a families' health care experience. I am the mother of three energetic children (all caught by midwives) and married to a wonderful man who "supports my every endeavor." Kathrine is also the proud "momma" of Darwin her goldendoodle.
Kristin Paul-Gatyas, CNM MSN, staff midwife is a graduate of Marquette University and is certified by the American College of Nurse-Midwives. For the past three years, she has been practicing midwifery in a free-standing birth center in the Bronx, New York. Kristin is bilingual, Spanish/English, and has been instrumental in a Centering Pregnancy program in NY. She believes every woman deserves a safe, respectful, and deeply satisfying birth and feels honored to be a part of their birth. When she is not catching babies, she loves running, reading, and spending time with her husband, son Gabe and chocolate lab, Zoso.

Annie Huber, CNM DNP, staff midwife is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and certified by the American College of Nurse-Midwives. Annie has previously practiced at Abbott North Western hospital in MPLS. She has a true passion for women's health and believes that through education and support of women midwives can become true partners in health care.
